Electric Timer Candle
Mine have lasted over 12 years!
I bought two dozen for my home over 12 years ago, and only a few have stopped working. I'm ordering more now to replace them. At this price, I'm thrilled to get a decade of use ( considering how things are made today). They are very convenient. It's a tradition to plug them all in around 3:00 on the first Sat after Thanksgiving. Great product......I'm a repeat customer!

Timers wear out quickly
As others have mentioned, the timers stop working. A couple stopped in the first year, several the second year and now nearly half of the original thirty eight I purchased are not working properly.
PLEASE MAKE QUALITY PRODUCTS & I'll gladly pay for them!! Everyone wants CHEAP, so this is the stuff that's sold.

Timer wears out
in the beginning the timer worked well, then slowly one by one each stayed on and never turned off. Some didn't work after one season.

Good corded electric window candle with timer
We bought 18 of these 5 years ago for our windows, and burn them most of the year. During that time, 6 have died, and in 5 the timer has quit working. For some of these, they quit working when the cord caused them to fall out of the window sill, in addition to breaking the bulb. My guess is that the fall caused some internal workings to break. We have put the ones that stay on in living areas, and put the ones with working timers in the bedrooms. We had trouble finding low wattage bulbs the first year, and started out with 25 watt bulbs, which were too bright. We replaced them with 15 watt bulbs, which were much better. We found 7.5 watt bulbs online, and will try them next, hoping they will be perfect. Having these corded not only means that we need to deal with cords knocking them down from the window sills, but also they get off schedule every time we have a power outage. We have learned to reset them all at once by throwing the breaker, but this means one must be home in the middle of the afternoon, to set them so that they go out when we want them to do so. The base of these are plastic, so they are light weight. They would probably stay put in the window sill better if they had a metal base. All in all, they are a good price, and as much as we use them, have lasted quite a while.

Convenience and light
I have used this timer window lights for years from Solutions. After over 10 years I had one that just didn't want to work even with new fuses and light bulbs. I have bought replacement bulbs for years to replace the ones that burned out though they last for at least 9 - 10 months using each day. I have bought them for my parents when they moved into their new home. Having used window lights for years that you have to manually turn on and off, they also were overjoyed that they no longer needed to do this.

I like these candles because they are so convenient - just plug them in and (in most cases) forget them. I had the older ones which only stayed on for 6 hours and I liked those as well. I prefer the new 8 hour timers, but the older candles were better made. The bases were metal which gave them some weight. This is important because when you put them on your window sill, the weight of the cord makes the new plastic base candles fall over. I did manage to manipulate the cords so that they stayed up, but I am always worrying that it won't take much more than a breath to knock them over. I ordered 20, and two of the timers didn't work, but Solutions quickly replaced them.

does not work
I had to place two orders in an attempt to get 3 candles that worked. My first order was for 4 electric candles and only 1 worked like it should. I sent the defective candles back and received 3 more..only 1 of them worked. I finally got so frustrated when I called customer service that I cancelled my entire order, which was a shame because I really liked the one that worked.

6 hrs on in lieu of 8 hrs. Longer Life.
The candle lights in general are good. I would like to see the ones that burn for 6 hrs in lieu of 8 hrs. Sometimes the lamps only last a couple or three years. I only use them during the Christmas season for about a month each year. Your would think that they would last longer since they are not used that much.
