Weathershield Curtains (50-in x 63-in)
didn't last long
Purchased these about 2 years ago for a large window that gets 5+ hours of direct afternoon sun.
Pros: lets light in and seems to be protecting furniture from fading so far. Price isn't too expensive.
Cons: material is coated in plastic - I'm assuming this is the uv protective coating, but they are stiff and do seem more like shower curtains which is disappointing.
After 2 years, the plastic coating facing the window is flaking off, so I need to replace already.
Don't really do much to keep the room cool as they claim.
Overall I am happy that they let in light while protecting the furniture from fading, but wish they lasted longer and that the fabric was softer and less like shower curtains.

Really like this concept for our living room. Recommended it my daughter for the nursery. Thanks so much!

Well, I never heard of a "sheer" thermal so i should have known better. The good news is it does let in light and keep out cold but it looks awful - like a cheap plastic shower curtain. ughh
