I love, love this new gadget...it cooks perfectly...it looks perfect! Easy to use!! I always had trouble flipping an omelette over in a pan - they would looks so messy and uneven. I thought maybe the egg might taste rubbery being cooked in a microwave - not at all!! Looking forward to making up omelette stations in the morning for guests at my home. Buying some for christmas gifts to relatives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TeeBeeToo Excellent omelets with little mess
There are all kinds of kitchen gadgets. Some are good and some are great. This handy omelet maker is one of the GREAT ones. Makes an exceptionally tasty omelet with very little mess. Before you start, identify the top and bottom flaps. Make sure that you put the veggies in the "bottom" side then flip the top over them (top has single logo on the flap; bottom has set of symbols for what you can/cannot do) Cook veggies as shown in the recipe booklet, then pour in eggs and cook as shown. Experiment! What a healthy way to start your day! LOVE IT! Ordering 3 more while on sale for gifts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bpgas i learned by accident...
I put the cut-up veggies and 1 tsp oil in the red thing first (but not the eggs), and then my doorbell rang. So I added the eggs 3-4 minutes later. Which means that the shallots, scallion, red onion & green peppers cooked a bit before the eggs were added., That omelet tasted really great. So now I ALWAYS let the veggies brown for a few minutes before I add the egg
Also try 'frying' (not scrambling) the egg for 1 1/2 minutes, and then break the yolk and STIR very gently, but do not scramble. Excellent also
Originally the price was double. I know I overpaid. Now the price is really good. makes good gift. I always keep a few on hand for gifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NJHerb An easy way tomake an omelette.
This product works just like the ad says. It is easy. You have to be careful when you fill the cooker that some of the mixed eggs don't leak out after the veggies are cooked in it. Getting the veggies just right for an omelet may take longer than the ad says.

My attempts at making an omelette in the past have been disasters. I just love this product, so much so that I purchased another four because my daughter and a co-worker wanted them.

This little omelette cooker works pretty well, Once you give it a try and see how to use it, the process can be quite speedy the next time and it is easy to clean up afterwards. Some tips: My microwave is 1200 watts. The instructions are for a 800 watt oven. My husband figured out that setting the oven to 70% cook power will correspond to 800 watts. I found from experience that it is important that you pour the egg liquid in the side of the omelette cooker that is enclosed by the other side when the cooker is closed (otherwise, some liquid runs out). In the instructions, it says to cook the first side for 2 minutes and then turn over and cook for 30 seconds. I found that 1 minute is fine rather than two. I put chopped mushrooms, spinach, and a little cheese and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in for 30 seconds, then added the two beaten eggs with 2 tablespoons of milk for 1 minute, and then I turned over the cooker and went actually for another minute but 30 seconds would have worked. You can always check the omelette while cooking and see what works. I added a little cheese on top of the omelette before serving to make more attractive. The resulting omelette may not be quite as good as ones you might cook on the stove in an omelette pan, but it is still very good.
