Easy to use and works well
I had used this product when I had dogs in the past. My son and dog are now living in my home and he was not trained to stay off furniture, therefore back to the OLD reliable I used more than 30 years ago.

My dog doesn't even look at the couch when these things are on, amazing

My cat hates this!
Close a door, and Oreo, my tuxedo cat, takes it on as a personal challenge. He'll get on his haunches and paw/bang on the door, rattling it until the door opens. Most annoying at 5-6am when he's locked out of the bedroom so I can sleep in! When I go to bed, I turn this thing on and lean it against my side of the door. One bang on the door and Oreo splits! He hates this thing. I get to sleep in...Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Not as great as I had hoped
We put this on the counter to keep the cat off and it went off everytime one of us walked by. We moved it to the coffee table to discourage the dog (she likes to use the table as a perch to see outside) and again it went off anytime we went near it. I finally started carrying it around and blasted it when I observed bad behavior. The pets noticed but who has time to do that every day?

Turns bad cats to good!
I didn't think there was any hope for my two cats to learn boundaries after eight years. They simply considered the entire house their domain, and since I am usually gone for several hours a day I had little hope of changing that. Well now I have reclaimed my tabletops and counters thanks to Pet Trainer! The only drawback is that the alarm is audible to humans as well as pets, but a small price to pay for kitty free zones.

not what i hoped for
we have a dog that we are attempting to keep off the furniture. when the fire alarms beep in the house due to a low battery backup, its enough to send him running for the hills. we thought this item would be perfect for him
so far we have had 2 issues with the alarms. first off, i have to put them on the low setting, and on top of a throw pillow to reduce false alarms. even with this, they still go off if you walk anywhere near them.
second, i heard the alarm go off three times in rather short succession the other night, and found the dog sitting on a chair with the alarm activated. i think he figured out that it will go off once or twice, but if he stays put, he's a free boy.

I love this thing. I have two and am going to get more. They keep my dogs off of the couch, and when my neighbors dog starts barking, I place it on the wall between our house and both dogs stop barking at each other.

With in the first hour the dogs are not getting close to the sofa, the noise really got to them and they don't want anything to do with the sofa.
