This feeder pole is not inexpensive but I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium product. However, while the concept is great and I'm sure it will live up to its name, I have a couple of bones to pick with the designers. First the hooks - they're much more light-weight than I had expected and, because they swing freely, the gap between the end of the hook and the shank is narrow enough to make mounting and dismounting my feeders at a height of 6 feet, a lot more of a hassle than I like.
Second, the claim that this pole "holds up to 8 feeders" is also something of an overstatement. The second set of hooks is mounted only 4 inches from the main pole and only 12 inches from the outer hooks making the addition of another feeder a pretty tight squeeze.
And thrird, and most importantly, the claim that the pole is made of "powder-coated steel"really raises my eyebrows. I've purchased other items with the same description and their finish is baked on and practically impervious to damage. The finish on this pole is so "tender" that it scraped off of the cross poles when they rubbed against the PLASTIC sleeve lining the insertion holes in the main pole. So I have little confidence that this item will last as long as I had hoped without requiring periodic maintenance.
All in all, I'm sure my feeders will remain safe from furry predators this year but I'm not sure how long my problem will remain solved so, while I can recommend the product as the best solution I've seen to greedy squirrels, I'm less pleased with the discrepancy in other areas between the advertising and the reality.

I have purchased one of these before several years ago. Between the weather and sprinklers the pole just started to rust in several places. I have no complaints that is why I ordered another one. Easy to assemble and mine is up and doing a great job! Yes I will buy another one when necessary. I love to watch the birds feeding on and not being bothered by the squirrels.

We have been plagued with pesky squirrels for years and had almost given up. I have been looking at this product for some time and after reading some of the reviews, decided to purchase the Squirrel Stopper. So glad we did... No more pesky critters. Now we just sit there and laugh when they attempt to climb... Too funny.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gail finally, one that works
Until we got the "Squirrel Stopper", we tried everything and would still look out the window to see squirrels happily hanging off the opening to the bird feeder, gorging themselves and leaving nothing for the real guests, THE BIRDS!...We love it, now the squirrels look up at the feeders and have to satisfy themselves with whatever the birds drop on the ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Louis Expensive but worth it!
We've had ours for two years and the squirrels have tried to jump from tree branches to get on it, but if you put it far enough from trees they don't make it. One squirrel was so determined to get up it that he crawled under the cylinder on the spring thinking he could get up inside it but finally gave up. He tried jumping up and just slide off. Very effectively squirrel proof!

I have tried many different methods (commercial) and found the squirrels always "find a way" within a few days. I have had this for a week and have not seen the first squirrel even try! Finally, the birds are getting the feed! Excellent product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gin So far no squirrels
I have high hopes this will stop those marauding squirrels from damaging my feeders and eating us out of house and home. So far so good! But it has only been a week. This pole was easy to set up and install. I am hoping it is very rust proof as well. It appears very solid and well made.
