I have 2 and my doorway is beautiful! I've had these for about 2 months and my flowers are awesome. I'm not sure how/ why it works, but it does. I bought 2 hanging plants and planted them in the top. They have doubled in size. I water 1 or 2 times a week. Figuring out where to put the water was a challenge, but I found digging a small hole in the corner and filling it there from the hose works best for me. They are extremely sturdy. You also have to drill the drainage hole (which for the money, I think it should come pre drilled.). I am so pleased with them.

This planter is big.... nice height and very wide. It's made of light weight plaistic, but good quality. You do need to place a brick or two in the bottom, so it won't blow around during heavy winds (even in the spring/summer weather). can't wai tto place my flowers in it.

I bought these planters to thwart the constant digging of chipmunks and squirrels into my geraniums and impatiens during the spring and summer months. So far so good. They look wonderful up against my garage and the "clay" color is not the red clay you might expect, but a nice neutral taupe like the clay the art teacher would pass around in art class. Practical and good looking, I couldn't help but buy two more. The self watering feature will help should this summer should it be hot and dry as predicted. Also it's easy to carry when not filled with water and soil. What's not to love?

Pros: The planter looks really nice! Since it is plastic, it should last a lot longer than my metal ones.
Cons: took a LOT of dirt to fill. Not sure how the "automatic" watering part works; you would need to keep the entire bottom filled with water so it reaches the dirt shelf. It's a lot of money for plastic

This planter has a great idea of being self watering but priced a little to high for the materials.
