Nice privacy screen
Unfortunately my condo association made me remove it from my deck, but the 3 weeks that I had it, I loved it. The crepe myrtle trees in the front were chopped down and I have no privacy now on the 2nd floor when the blinds are open. This screen worked to allow light in but you could not see thru to the 2nd floor balcony at night. The color was perfect and blended in nicely with the stain color of the deck. Would recommend if you live in an area without a condo association.

Used as an awning.
I purchased this to hang from the roof edge to create shade on an outside wall that is in the afternoon sun. The appearance is very good. My disappointment is that the product is not the length advertised. It is only 14' long. The grommets are not evenly spaced.

Doesn't hold up in direct sun
I bought several of these panels before last summer. They looked great and were very private. I didn't use the waxy rope that came with the panels because they wouldn't stay tight. I bought cable ties.
The panels withstood the south Texas sun all last year, but not this year. All panels at the top of the railing tore off at the grommet. Not wanting to be wasteful, I slipped a cable tie through the fabric and attached it back to the railing. One strong rain storm and it tore the panels all off again. The fabric tears very easily now, but it didn't last year.
All I can say is these are in direct sun all year and the fabric simply isn't meant for that. Even the cable ties started breaking off after one season.

Screen is a polyester weave so is right weight for hanging on the deck railing. Took some time to install using screw in eye hooks I bought separately but once up it is a good neighbor block and screens off road dust too. Has grommets on all edges to tie down as needed. I bought the tan and white and it matches my house siding and trim.

Finally do not feel like I'm on display
We did things a little differently because we needed privacy up high, not down low. We hung them from the beam at the edge of the balcony above us and tied it to the metal patio railing. We did not use the cord that came with them, opting instead for a stronger paracord. One of the grommets was closer to the edge than the others and it pulled off, so there is a rip there. We were not pleased with that, but is fixable with a grommet set and some time. The hooks at the top are gate hooks so a breeze won't lift it off.
It offers enough privacy that the people on the 2nd floor of the complex behind ours cannot look down into our apartment anymore. Yet, there is plenty of light coming through that it does not feel like a wall. I chose the tan stripe to match the building. I purchased 4 of these but so far have only had the time to get one of them up so solve the immediate problem of the people directly across from us. (We are apparently VERY interesting) Our intention is to totally screen in our patio from all these prying eyes.

Works easier with zip ties or twist ties
We are really enjoying our privacy screen; the angle of our deck is way too close to the neighbors yard; it's nice to have a little barrier there. However, the rope thing to install it - way too complicated. We just used some zip ties and made the install go quick!

We thought that this would be an outdoor woven fabric. This is
plastic and frays easily.

Extremely happy with my purchase! I have an oversized covered patio that is open on two sides. I purchased two of these, as one was not sufficient to cover the two open sides. There are grommets along the top, bottom and sides of the privacy screen. The nylon cord that is provided was not going to work in holding it up. To make these screens work for me, I folded each in half and secured them to each railing, along the top, with 10 (5 for each side) 2? Metal Heavy Duty Spring Clamps that I purchased the from the local Home Improvement Store. These clamps are very strong and have done a great job in securing the screen. There are three grommet holes down each side of the privacy screen. To make each one look like one piece, I used cable ties through each of the three grommet holes and cut off the excess. The screens provide great privacy, and allow air to flow through. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a way to update their patio.
